If Sydney New Year's Eve fireworks watching is on your list, you need to know these before you go,
1. You’ll need a permit to access vantage points and some areas around the harbour.
Some popular spots are limited to residents who live inside the zone and their guests, or workers at venues within the zone. The areas include Circular Quay, The Rocks, or key public vantage points in North Sydney.
Some parks in Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Glebe, Pyrmont, and Millers Point will also be closed to the public.
